My gout day

Add what you eat, meal by meal, and see the day's purine against the 400 mg daily guide GoutSafe grades with, plus the day's fructose. Every product keeps the grade it has on its own page.

    How the numbers work

Purine is the most the label allows per serving, weighted the way GoutSafe weights it, so plant purines count for less than meat or fish. It is the same figure the grade uses, so a day built from labels leans high on purpose. Fructose is estimated from the sugars on the Nutrition Facts panel. The 400 mg daily guide is the one GoutSafe uses to grade foods. How we rate.

Only packaged foods we grade are here. Fresh meat, fish, vegetables, alcohol and eating out add purine this page doesn't count, so a total under 400 mg isn't a free pass. Look foods up on GoutSafe, and can't find a product? Request it.

What you add is saved in this browser only. It isn't sent anywhere, and clearing your browser data clears it. Searches here are counted with the words searched, so we know which products to add. GoutSafe data synced 2026-10-06. A total is a shopping guide, not medical advice. Your doctor knows your numbers.
